So I didn't make it back by Friday - mostly because my internet was down and has continued to malfunction for most of the weekend. As it has just came up again tonight (at least for now), I finally remembered about all the artwork I had uploaded before.
This next piece I did around 1994, when I was twelve years old.
Much like the drawings I'd made of still frames from Jurassic Park, I also did about 500 drawings from The Lion King, though my parents stopped me halfway through the movie (the last drawing takes place just prior to the song "Hakuna Matata").
` While I used many of those images to make calendars, I also made one very large drawing and colored it in with watercolor pencils.
I remember that I traced the middle of this image (baby Simba, the front of Sarabi and Mufasa's paws and chin) directly from a frame in the movie and then used other frames as references to add on more of Simba's parents.
` As you can see, it has my old insignia at the bottom.
Lion King age 12
I didn't know it at the time, but this is an example of fan art, and I supposed I'd had a similar idea to the one much more recently portrayed by Nido at Lion King Fan-Art Archive.
` That's right, this is not a frame from the movie, but rather it is a more sophistomacated, movie-quality fan art piece, which also does not represent a frame of the actual movie.
The next year or whenever, I received the Toy Story game for Super Nintendo, and I decided to make a very large drawing from a tiny image of Woody - I think it was being used for page numbers.
I began the enlargement process by drawing a 1-millimeter grid over Woody, and a 1/2 grid on the paper, but it wasn't as simple as just copying via a grid:
` Crucially, the original image was facing the opposite direction, so when I reversed it for the drawing, I also had to reposition Woody's sheriff badge, gun holster and even the spots on his vest so that they weren't 'backwards'.
I know, a lot more work went into it than was necessary. I guess when I was 13, I still had a tendency to challenge my brain sometimes, despite the hardships I had faced.
Toy Story Woody
The 'low-down dirty rat' was added to make the drawing work once I realized I didn't know what else to do with an oversize... er... ah... Woody.
For reference, a picture to demonstrate that yes, the Woody I'd drawn was indeed not backwards!
That's all I have for now, but next time, hopefully this weekend, I'll have something yet different up for all to see.

Well, all that I can say is that you are very talented. I hope that your parents didn't stop you too much and they should be very proud.
Oh, a lot of things have stopped me at various times, but I'm still hanging on....
