Back when I had a head of long, matted hair...

Personal grooming issues aside, I had once intended to make a video parody of what's going on in the country, which involved interviewing many random people. For this project, I thought I'd carry around a little notebook in which to write my 'results' in. You know, as a prop.
` The only problem was, I had absolutely no idea of what was actually going on, and didn't know anyone who could help me. So, I was stuck. But hey, if I really was going to do this project, my little notebook sure would look better if I got out my watercolors and painted across its corrugated surface.
` So, I painted... me.

Still having no ideas about what to film, or what to talk about, I then painted the back.

Still being of no inspiration, the inside has remained blank over the many intervening years. However, while I was moving into the new house, I found the still-unused notebook and photographed it on the new hardwood floor, propped up on my feet here.

It looks like I had a tan at the time, but in fact I was simply sitting in a darkened room with lights shining from behind my head.
` Jeez! Sure feels good to have gotten rid of all that hair!

Happy first day of Christmas Shopping Season!

I love you with that hair. I had it that long once too and I too am glad to be rid of it. (note to myself, look up pics with you and long red hair).

Happy shopping too ...

lol

Thanks!

*Wonders what pics of me and long red hair is supposed to mean.*

I'm getting my beloved Lou Ryan a battery backup for this computer, in case it's in the middle of rendering film when the power goes out.

I'm also asking him for a couple small things, such as another copy of my favorite DVD, which our former Director Nate scratched the bajeezus out of - the entire last fifteen minutes of the movie and the special features are pretty much gone, as I found out last night.

What do you suppose you'll be going after as far as shopping goes?

Everything has a use in the end. You may just have painted the front and back cover and left the middle pages blank but then years later who would have thunk it that it would be sitting in your little corner of blogland being a special feature in a post ;-)

So true... plus, I can also use it as a non-suspicious hiding place for secret information!

BTW, just had my first long and grueling day of work. It's... work.
` Now I'm just chillin', and as usual, the cats are hanging out in the same room as me.
` When I came in the front door, they followed me around, playing, as I did some laundry, and now they're lying next to me asleep.
` What good friends I have; despite the fact that I live in such a big house, they follow me around all the time!
` Now with my new job, I can buy them extra-nice gourmet cat food!

That's watercolor? That looks like oil... but as I recall, you did your very first oil paintings this year, long after you chopped off your long, matted hair.

Nice work! How many other watercolors have you done?
